Spring is nearly here which means more people on the roads

On Behalf of | Feb 24, 2017 | Firm News, personal injury

The days are getting warmer and spring is nearly here. That means that more and more people will peel themselves off the couch and head outside to enjoy the warmer weather. While people head out, there will be more risks on the roads. It is important for everyone outside to be mindful of the increased risks.

On a nice warm day following a cold winter, you will inevitably see an increase of cyclists and motorcyclists on the roads. You may even be one. But for drivers who have likely forgotten about cyclists and motorcyclists on the roads, this may be relatively new to them. Extra precautions should be taken to prevent an accident. As safe of a rider as you may be, you never know who is next to you on the roads.

There are also additional risks associated with your favorite recreational activity. Perhaps you like riding your ATVs through the woods, or enjoy a nice day out on the lake. The spring months also bring with them increases in recreational activity accidents. The time it takes to be extra cautious cannot be understated. The last thing you want is to be a victim of an accident or to have caused an accident.

As we all know, an accident can take place at any time and at any place. If you have been the victim of a personal injury, you may be entitled to compensation. This may include an award for pain and suffering, lost wages, as well as medical expenses and rehabilitation costs. For wrongful death cases, the family of the victim may also be entitled to compensation for all of the above as well as possible future lost wages.
